It's great with a catch (the high frequency sound)

November 11, 2022I went to our local HW store to try a two-stage gas powered leaf blower when my too young Toro died after 2-3 yrs. I knew at my age, I wouldn't be able to power it on and the guy who brought it out for a test for me agreed. I was also told it wouldn't have as much power as an electric one and we have too much lawn to mess around with a lower-powered machine again.
We're old folks. My spouse's hearing is super acute and mine is super bad. When I use it, I was told there's a high frequency that drives her nuts when I'm using it anywhere on our property. So, I blow when she's not around. But due to the sound, I dropped the rating.
We have locust pods which range from a few inches to over a foot long and the Toro didn't couldn't blow them and there are a few thousand of them. They were too heavy. Add leaves (wet and dry) and again, the Toro just couldn't handle it. I needed a much stronger machine and did the research as best as possible.
The force is with this machine. It blows a much wider area. (Saw someone blowing with a Toro recently and there's a big difference.) There's a top speed ("turbo") on Worx that I use sparingly because I don't want to blow the motor but it sure worx. It's pretty light and bulky and that took some getting used to but I can blow the stuff off my lawn really fast these days.
So, I happen to really like it. I've had it for the fall season and am thankful for the power, the weight, and the width of the blowing coverage. Just hope it lasts.
"PERFECT" FOR THE RIGHT PERSON...

May 14, 2018I purchased my Worx Turbine 600 Electric Leaf Blower (Model WG520) late last year (2017) after thoroughly researching it and similar leaf blowers in it`s class. I wanted to wait in commenting on it`s performance till I had used it 4 or 5 times in dry, wet, and "in between" conditions. I have yet to use any rechargeable electric devise that performed well over a reasonable length of time (before losing power and needing a recharge)--thus my decision to go with a CORDED Worx leaf blower. My property necessitates the use of (1) 100 foot, and (1) 50 foot 12 gauge/3 prong extension cords to run this 15 amp tool properly. Living on the mid-coast of Oregon, my biggest concern was dislodging and moving large amounts of compacted damp/wet pine needles from the pavement. Even when dry, these needles seem "glued" to cement or macadam. I am pleased to announce that this machine handles dry/damp pine needles, grass cuttings, leafs, twigs, and pebbles quite easily--and I have yet to use FULL POWER ! Any mass of damp/wet needles that don`t budge, only need a quick brush with a push broom, then a second blow, and they are GONE. I am a disabled senior man who suffers with back and abdominal issues. Although not particularly heavy, the Worx Turbine 600 Electric Leaf Blower "feels bulky" and has a large, wide, thick handgrip for my smaller hands. By the time I have finished blowing 150 feet of my fence line, my back, hand and wrist are "strongly suggesting" that it is time to quit for the day ! My BOTTOM LINE: this machine has plenty of power for most applications, performs as advertised, leaves my property looking "professionally groomed," and by doing my own yards, the Worx Turbine 600 should "pay for itself" within 5 or 6 uses. I would recommend it to anyone--especially if they have a healthy back, medium-sized+ hands, and normal energy levels. This machine is definitely not a small, lite, flickable toy; rather, a NICELY-ENGINEERED and powerful garden tool.
Worx WG520 forceful but won't dry the car

October 21, 2023Bought the Worx WG520 last year. A few YouTube auto detailers showed how using a Leaf Blower can dry the car off quicker than using a microfiber towel. It blows the water around but leave many smaller beads of water on the car. Instead of 10 minutes, you may spend 25 minutes air blowing your car and still need to use a microfiber towel for remaining wet spots. It does very well blowing leaves and it is powerful for that chore but blowing water off the car so it dries quicker not so good.

June 22, 2024In store pickup was fast and easy. The Worx blower was already on the shelf behind the customer service counter when I walked in.
Took just a few minutes to hook the blower up and it is great. Plenty of power! I'll keep this out near the deck...so no more sweeping. It also blows leaves effortlessly. Impressed.
