August 27, 2024Great pants at a great price. I've tried wranglers ranger pants, carhartt technical pants, Duluth trading utility pants and many others. They all had shortcomings that I was uninterested in paying full price for. These however I believe are worth the cost. I use my work pants for construction work, shooting competitions and hiking/ camping. These keep me cool in the heat and offer great tear resistance. They wear true to size and I like the colors offered, especially the dark green. It's basically ranger green, and it blends well with my gear of the same color.

March 8, 2024Excellent pants, for every field. The pants blend in and last 3 times as long as denim material. Plenty of pockets, extremely durable design, plenty of pockets and sizing is spot on. Extra 2 inch expansion in waist. I shared this knowledge with a school teacher, a few years ago and he now has several pairs of the Taclite Pro Pants (TDU pants). And he prefers to wear jeans on his off time. The Taclite TDU Pro Pants are excellent for many various applications. You can wear them everywhere.
Fades Very Quickly

March 8, 2023All the positive comments I agree with. These are really great pants to wear for the very active person. However, all the dark color pants fade very quickly. The only pair that you cannot see the fading much is Khaki. All the rest of the colors fade too fast. I am in a profession where dress and appearance really counts. Wearing faded pants is not acceptable. I have to purchase new pairs about every three months or less. I end up using the faded pants for field training, yard work, fishing and that kind of thing. Sometimes I will donate the faded pants to someone who really needs a serviceable pair of pants with plenty of pockets. Three Stars because they fade too fast and expensive to replace. Otherwise they are great pants.
Classic Tactical Pants

September 30, 2020If you're looking for the classic "tactical" pants, look no further. Bought these from LAPG probably more than 10 years ago now and still own a couple pairs. These are the exact pants i think of when i think the original/classic tactical pant. Early iterations of a multi-purpose pant with great durability and utility. Has more than enough pockets for what you'd ever want to carry on your lower body, and a nice touch with the knee pad pockets. Cut is rather baggy/loose which can be more comfortable but not in fitting with contemporary designs. I say this to highlight the overt appearance of these pants. Not exactly the best choice if you want that gray man look. Kinda screams tactical. The loose fit can also bunch when running holsters with thigh straps.(personal peeve). Tons of pockets, sturdy material, and good construction quality (this coming from someone who used to operate a sewing factory). However, i've come to be a big fan of the discreet magazine pocket in the rear yoke. Those are great to stuff ar mags and cellphones alike, but not found on these older styles. Material is durable, but a bit heavier than i'd like living in warmer climates. No stretch either.
Its a great choice if you are looking for that tough classic tactical pant with plenty of storage.
Not a great choice if you want a more subdued, blend-into-the-crowd look. Designs and functionality of more discreet pants from 5.11, Vertx, and even LAPG have come a long way. I can't get myself to throw out these pants, but also wouldnt buy them at this point. My personal preference is the newer, slimmer, more discreet styles that incorporate some degree of stretch material and have the more discreet pocket designs.
